Whatever you or I go through, God will always be by our side to get us through. Have you ever been in a situation where you could not see the light at the end of the tunnel? Or perhaps you are going through a situation where you need God more than ever. If so, he is right here at your side.
The Bible says, “call upon the Lord, and He will answer you, and He will show you great and mighty things of which you do not know.” The Bible says, “God draws near to those who draw near to Him.” This means that God wants to talk to us, draw close to us and meet our needs. When you go through times of discouragement, challenges, or struggles, go to the One who can change your situation.
I am sure we have all been through plenty of situations where we have needed God’s reassuring peace and presence. That is why I am so thankful for this promise that says, “Thou the mountains are shaken and the hills are removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken, nor my covenant of peace be removed,’ says the LORD, who has compassion on you.” (Isaiah 54:10).
God loves you and wants us to cast all our cares, worries, and anxieties onto Him. He does not want us to be bogged down by life’s problems and trouble. But instead, we are called to pray, tell God our needs, and thank Him for the answers.
Now when I run into struggles beyond my control, I try my best (from a human standpoint) and leave what I cannot do at the feet of Christ. I do precisely what the Word of God tells me to do in every situation, and I leave the outcome in His hands. Essentially, “I do my best and let God do the rest.”
Are you going through a storm in your life? Have you struggled in an area that is important to you? Take time to sit in God’s presence and ask Him to show you if there are any changes that you need to make in your life. When He shows you, be quick to make the changes He asks of you. Your obedience can be the key to the change you are looking for. I want to remind you that God is with you; He loves you and will never leave or forsake you. He will be your peace amid the storm if you allow Him to be. With God, nothing will be impossible for those who trust Him, and He will keep you under His Almighty shadow.
