Have you ever been in a situation where you needed kindness or a helping hand from a stranger? Or, have you ever found yourself in a set of circumstances where you were in a position of need, and someone helped you out? I’m sure at one point or another; we can all recall when someone was good to us or showed us kindness and compassion when we needed it most.

The Bible says, “and let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap if we do not give up. So then, as we have the opportunity, let us do good to everyone, especially those of the household of faith.” “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” (Galatians 6:9, Ephesians 4:32) God wants us to be kind, loving, and compassionate to those in need. Are there people God has placed around you in need of help today? Or, has he shown you a group of people who may be in a different country or location that can use your support or service?

Matthew 25:35-40 states, “Then the King said to them, “I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.'” For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. Then these righteous ones will reply, “Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink? Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing? When did we ever visit you sick or in prison?’ And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!”

God clearly shows us what He wants us to do on this earth. He wants us to do good and be good to others. In other words, we ought to show others the love of Jesus Christ through our lives. If God has been good to you, show that same goodness, love, and kindness to someone who may be less fortunate than you. When you are a blessing to others, God, in return, will bless you, give you favor and show you His goodness.
